Biographical Information Adam Lauer, D.O. is native to Bridgton, Maine. He is the son of Lonnie Lauer, D.O. and Linda Lauer. Education Dr. Lauer attended Lake Region High School class of 1991, Naples, Maine. He later graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern Maine in 1996, Portland, Maine. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and obtained a minor in Biochemistry. Dr. Lauer graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000, Biddeford, Maine. He obtained a Doctor of Osteopathy degree and was inducted into the honor society Psi Sigma Alpha for members in the top 10% of the graduating class. Postgraduate Training Dr. Lauer completed internship and residency training at Eastern Maine Medical Center from 2000-2003 in Bangor, Maine. The Family Practice Residency Program is accredited by the ACGME and AOA. It is a designated Osteopathic Postgraduate Training Institute. Certification and Titles Dr. Lauer is licensed by the State of Maine Board of Osteopathic Licensure. He holds board certification in Family Practice and OMT from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He is President of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine Alumni Association and actively participates in events and activities at the school in Biddeford. He is a Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine for UNECOM osteopathic student-physicians since 2003. He is featured a January 2009 edition of The D.O., Going it alone, DO finds less equals more. Dr. Lauer interviews student candidates for the UNECOM Admissions Committee. Dr. Lauer is school physician for the Brewer School Department, Orrington School, and Orland School. |
